It’s fall. The air has become more crisp and the leaves are changing colors. Fall also means that it’s time for the New York Film Festival!

On the red carpet with my good friend Heather Lindsay

The New York Film Festival opened with Ava DuVernay’s important, new documentary 13th. It’s on Netflix, and it’s a must watch. Common did a surprise performance at the afterparty which was awesome.

I saw Manchester by the Sea and Toni Erdmann on Sunday, which are two of the most buzzed about films of the year. They were both fantastic. Actually, everything I’ve seen so far has been really good. I caught press screenings of Moonlight, I Daniel Blake, The Unknown Girl and Fire at Sea before the festival. I’m looking forward to seeing more great film this week!
